Jason Greer is a firefighter for the City of Chattanooga. He and his wife are the proud parents of 3 amazing boys, Tristin age 17, and 12 year old twins Austin and Justin. Their lives were turned upside down 4 years ago when their oldest son, Tristin, was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma. Currently, they are seeing Dr. Sholler in Grand Rapids, MI. Things have thankfully remained somewhat stable for the most part, but he still has a tremendous amount of disease…
They received and amazing trip to Bora Bora from the Make a Wish Foundation of East Tennessee and they were able to escape the realities of Cancer and enjoy some family time in paradise.
Emily's Power for a Cure met Jason and his family at the beginning of their journey by providing meals and transportation and much needed support.
Jason's helmet will travel the world meeting kids that Jason has met during his travel for medical treatment for Tristin. The blog will chronicle that journey. Along the way we will meet kids and families who are battling or have battled Childhoood cancer. Each child's family will be asked to sign the helmet to continue to inspire Jason during his Ironman competition. We will be inspired by this kids and by Jason as we join him on this Journey to Ironman Chattanooga.
